ABOUT MIKE FLYNN

Michael E. Flynn, Principal has been both a senior executive and a consultant to senior executives. He is a recognized business leader with 35 years of experience in career services, consulting, and the soft drink industry. He is responsible for supporting and leading the firm’s career development practice as well as consulting with senior executives on leadership and organizational development. His experience includes:

  • The presidency of a significant soft drink company, coming up through marketing and sales,
  • General Manager of the Chicago office of a major career services company,
  • Senior Vice President of a respected, retained executive search firm, and
  • Founder of a respected center for ethics and values.
  • Consultant to Senior Executives impacting individual and organizational effectiveness.

Specifically, Mr. Flynn rose through the marketing and sales ranks of Dad’s Root Beer Company, ultimately becoming the President of this wholly owned subsidiary of Whitman’s Pepsi General Bottlers. He then served as the founding Executive Director of Georgetown University’s Woodstock Center for Ethics and Values. Following this, he became the General Manager of the three Chicago offices for Lee Hecht Harrison, a leading career services company. Next he was a Senior Vice President with The Hollins Group, a respected, retained executive search firm. He then joined Baiocchi Associates, later to become Robertson Lowstuter, to assume a leadership position in developing and growing the outplacement practice. He now operates his own Career Coaching firm.

Mr. Flynn’s affiliations include:

Board Membership: The Career Transition Center of Chicago, DePaul University’s Center for Ethics, Joseph Academy, National Center of the Laity, Ravines Golf Club.

Mr. Flynn earned a BS in Applied Psychology and an MA in Organizational Development from Loyola University of Chicago.

Mr. Flynn’s combination of experience and education provides an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by general managers and other senior executives regarding career development opportunities, leadership performance and organizational improvement.
